Security

The server is no-grief, anyone proven to have intentionally griefed, stolen or looted another player may be instantly banned, it is unlikely that second chances will be given or that a player will be pardoned once banned.

Exceptions may be made where an account can be proven to have been hacked etc or at the discretion of an Admin under exceptional circumstances.

Protection From Griefing

We have taken several steps to minimise grief on the server, but it is physically impossible to prevent it entirely and for the most part anti-griefing measures are only effective if you help us to help you.

Here's a list of steps we have taken and what you, as a player, need to do to protect yourself:

TNT & Banned Items

TNT is allowed on the server but cannot damage blocks, this is to prevent it being used for griefing, it can however injure players and mobs, it's fine to use it defensively in your own areas or to build mob traps.

The server has very few banned items, the only two reasons we would ever ban an item is if it either allowed bypassing of protected areas or was in some way broken (unfixable dupe bug or glitch), deliberate possession of  banned items will result in a the player being banned.

All banned items have their recipes disabled and are not listed in NEI, to make things as simple as possible. Block and item bans are also enforced by a plugin which keeps detailed logs.

Lockette

This plugin allows players to use signs to lock doors, chests and various other blocks so that other players cannot use them. You can easily add other players to your locked blocks and locked doors automatically close after a couple of seconds so you can't forget to close them!

For more information on using this plugin see the 'Players Guide' at Spawn.

Land Protection

The server uses a simple to use 'Protection Stone' based system to allow players to protect their areas, information regarding how much land you can protect can be found on the 'Ranks' page.

A few different types are available depending on your rank, including stand-alone Home areas, Towns and Cities which can have multiple plots which can be rented to other players and field stones such as the Atlantis stone, which allows breathing and easy building under water.

Protected areas cannot overlap with another players region but can overlap your own.

You can buy the stones and get in game information on their use at Spawn.

The stones are only usable in specific worlds, with all those available from the 'Claim Store' only usable in the main world. Veteran, Donator & VIP stones are only usable in 'Veteran World'.  If a stone is placed in an invalid world it will simply not function and no protected area will be set up.

Snitch Field - As well as tracking visitors this can be used to investigate your own grief as it logs players entering it's area as well as block changes, helpful if someone is stealing from your area and you would like to figure out who it is yourself.

For added protection from potential griefers the 'prevent-entry' flag is enabled by default, this will teleport away any player that tries to enter your region without being allowed by you first , to allow players or toggle this flag off see the 'Commands' page.

Mob spawners - Be aware that players of Citizen rank or above can change spawner types, even in protected areas. Although this does cost in game money to do and so is unlikely to be used to grief it is a good idea to protect any spawners you want to keep in your area just in case.

Prism 2

This plugin allows us to track griefers in a variety of ways and in many cases restore any stolen items and repair damage.

Records of block changes, door use and vanilla chest contents are retained for 31 days.

However this does not mean that you shouldn't take steps to protect yourself as outlined above, we cannot guarantee that we can restore everything lost in a griefing incident.

Reporting Griefers / Griefing

To report a griefer (or any other violation of the server rules) contact an Admin, Mod or DemiMod in world, either in person, using the in game ticket system, or by e-mail at:

Remember to include your Minecraft username, the username of the griefer and any other relevant proof (such as screenshots) or details (such as times) so we can examine any relevant logs faster.

Admins and Mods will not replace items that cannot be rolled back for any reason or cannot be proven to have been stolen if you did not take adequate steps to protect them.
